The University of the Faroe Islands is offering a course in Faroese language this summer in the capital, Tórshavn. If I don't totally fail Old Norse next quarter, this might be a fun thing to try. With over 40,000 speakers, there's no limit to the economic possibilities that the mastery of a complex, inflected Germanic tongue could open up for me.
