Just connected my Tivo up to my home network -- by default, the device dials in over an analog landline every night to download a list of upcoming TV programming, but since I'm phone-less in an effort to save money, I decided to add an aftermarket ethernet card so my Tivo could use my broadband connection. Seems to work just fine, though I may have to dremel a hole in the side of the case to allow the network cable to snake out...
