Latvian Stamps

Here's a postcard sent to me in 1997 by a highschool friend in the Foreign Service. I think she was posted to Warsaw, God knows what she was doing in the Baltics.

Am still trying to figure out if the birds pictured are intended to be representational of actual fauna.
