Apparently Saddam Hussein's lawyers will submit a request to the Swedish government this week to have the former Iraqi dictator held in a prison in Sweden until his trial takes place.
In what I'm sure is a complete coincidence, there have been two huge jailbreaks this week -- the first group was caught, the second is still on the loose. Best quote from the guards regarding second jailbreak, when the getaway car drove through the gates to the prison yard: "This was no time to be a hero." They didn't try to stop them.
Sweden's police actually are armed, unlike Norway's, but the idea of trying to stop criminals from escaping with force doesn't seem to have much resonance.
