New Needle

Finally finished a draft of the first chapter of my master's thesis. To mark the occasion I installed a new cartridge in one of my record players. This needle was actually not new but seems to be in very nice condition (I rescued it from a different player which had seen better days.) As you can see from the picture it's mounted on a sapphire cantilever which appears transparent in light. Now the pops and scratches of my record collection are transmitted with that much more clarity!
