Just got back from an evening at a local glass museum watching the Swedish glass artist Bertil Vallien perform a sandcasting — pouring molten glass into molds.
Bertil Vallien is a Swedish glass artist, who has worked a number of Småland-based firms such as Kosta Boda.

Taking photographs in a hotshop is similar to taking pictures of fireworks — extremes of light and dark. Luckily they didn’t let me anywhere near the action so I didn’t get skewered with red-hot glass.
